As a tradition of this Institute, seniors warmly welcome the freshers and interact with them in a friendly and cordial atmosphere. Ragging in any form, at any place — inside or outside the campus — is strictly prohibited. Students are required to submit an undertaking in a prescribed format affirming that they will not engage in any form of ragging either on or off campus, and will adhere to the rules laid down by the University/Government, as amended from time to time. This ensures a completely ragging-free environment in line with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
A state-of-the-art Language Lab has been developed for first-year students to help them build excellent communication skills. Today’s industry demands not only technical knowledge but also effective communication abilities. To meet this need, the language lab uses 'RENET-PRO', a professional software tool that helps students improve vocabulary, pronunciation, and overall language proficiency. This enables students to enhance their communication skills and express themselves clearly and confidently.
Computer Centre caters to the computing needs of the faculty, staff and students for their research and teaching activities. Institute has a state-of-the-art computer centre with a number of servers from IBM and HP. The centre supports Windows and Linux OS, advanced statistical and image processing software, RDBMS, and more. It also features campus-wide wireless access, online UPS, and a 4 Mbps shared internet link for seamless connectivity across academic departments, hostels, and central facilities.
Burman Group of Institution has excellent Labs setup that allows the students to get a better grasp of the subjects. Prime focus is always laid on research as this sole factor shall contribute greatly towards a successful career ahead. This is achieved by numerous state-of-the-art labs supported by well trained lab technicians where students get to perform Practicals under guidance of experienced Faculty.
The Central Library is housed in a separate multi-storied building with a rich collection of books and Journals. The objective of the Central Library is to serve the needs of the Faculty, Research Scholars, Students and Members of the Library.
All library systems in the Central Library are fully automated using international standards.
A Centralized Training & Placement Cell, managed by highly qualified professionals with years of experience from the industry & corporate, facilitates industry exposure to the students.
Besides inviting top companies for campus interviews the cell actively assists the students in personality grooming by enhancing their communication skills, improving general awareness and polishing their aptitude through regular workshops, seminars, industrial training and guest lectures by experts. High emphasis is paid on building Industry-Institute Interaction and Relationship.
To explore new placement opportunities, the T&P team undertakes regular tours to major cities. Regular workshops and training sessions for students and faculty are organized. Students are placed with Fortune 500 companies and reputed PSUs offering Summer / Industrial / Project Training and placements.
Institute has a full-fledged sports department which organizes Sports Meet and sends teams in various inter-university competitions. It has a well-equipped gymnasium and other sports related facilities.
For overall development of an individual, all students are encouraged to participate in curricular & co-curricular activities organized & scheduled by the Institute.
